PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING DATE CHANGE & UPCOMING BUDGET MEETINGS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular monthly meeting for March of the Spaulding Township Board of Trustees has been moved from Tues. March 17 to Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

A “Budget Preparation Meeting” will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Truth in Budgeting Public Hearing and Settlement Meeting on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.  A copy of the budget will be available for public inspection at the Spaulding Township Office.

The Water Board of Spaulding Township will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will address annual meeting business at their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

All hearings & meetings are held at the Spaulding Township Office, 5025 East Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601

  • Residents can apply for energy assistance to help pay for outstanding heating and cooling bills, following the release of $100 million from the bipartisan infrastructure law into the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LiHeap). This is the first of five $100 million yearly installments into the program. These dollars, combined with American Rescue Plan and regular LiHEAP funds total $8 billion in heating assistance dollars made available in the past 12 months. Spaulding Township is a General Law Township with population of 2,141 residents and 27 square miles of area. Spaulding Township is not a full size township being cut off by the Shiawassee River on the west side. Spaulding Township is the home of the Shiawassee Flats National Wildlife Refuge a 7,300 acre wildlife refuge visited by many people each year; the Township is about 70% rural.

Spaulding Township boasts a volunteer fire department, air conditioned rental hall, well kept park and rental pavilion, and a township run cemetery for its residents. Approximately 95 % of our residents have city water.
