CASS RIVER DIKE & EROSION CONTROL BOARD

Cass River Dike & Erosion Control Board will meet on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 7:00pm in the township office located at 5025 East Rd., Saginaw, MI.  PUBLIC ACCESS IS LIMITED to 10 people; however, we will make accommodations to hear comments during the meeting.  You may also make a written comment, or contact the office at 777-0950 during regular hours.

Bti DISTRIBUTION FOR MOSQUITOS

Starting tentatively on May 18, Bti granules will only be distributed by appointment with the Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission due to the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order.  Townships will not be provided with granules at this time.  Contact the Mosquito Abatement Commission after May 18 to schedule an appointment, tele: 989-755-5751.

2020 UNITED STATES CENSUS

Spaulding Township residents please be aware that United States Census workers will be conducting phone calls and visiting door-to-door compiling information for the current census.

They will have appropriate identification and encourage your cooperation.

Spaulding Township is a General Law Township with population of 2,141 residents and 27 square miles of area. Spaulding Township is not a full size township being cut off by the Shiawassee River on the west side. Spaulding Township is the home of the Shiawassee Flats National Wildlife Refuge a 7,300 acre wildlife refuge visited by many people each year; the Township is about 70% rural.

Spaulding Township boasts a volunteer fire department, police department, air conditioned hall, well kept park, and a township run cemetery for its residents. Approximately 95 % of our residents have city water.
