HOLIDAY LIGHT RECYCLING DRIVE NOVEMBER 15 – JANUARY 15

Mid Michigan Waste Authority is holding a Holiday Light Recycling Drive from November 15, 2022 through January 15, 2023.

Don’t throw out your old holiday lights. Recycle them at our office during regular office hours!

All proceeds benefit the CAN (Child Abuse and Neglect) Council.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NON-COMPLIANT WATER CUSTOMERS

Notice is hereby given that the Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., at the Spaulding Township Governmental Offices, 5025 East Road, Saginaw, MI 48601, to review and consider taking enforcement action against Non-Compliant Water Customers who have refused to permit Spaulding Township to install an upgraded water meter at their respective property/properties.  Individual(s) receiving this Notice should attend the aforesaid public hearing and show cause as to why water service to their property/properties should not be disconnected for failure to permit Spaulding Township to install an upgraded water meter at the aforesaid property/properties.

Following the aforesaid public hearing, a meeting of the Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will occur at the Spaulding Township Governmental Offices, 5025 East Road, Saginaw, MI 48601.

Any person(s)/entity who/which has any ownership or other legal interest in any property which receives Spaulding Township water service and at which the owner of the property has refused to permit Spaulding Township to install an upgraded water meter is invited to attend the Public Hearing and provide evidence and reasoning as to why enforcement action, including but not limited to disconnection of water service, should not be taken.

At the conclusion of meeting following the aforesaid Public Hearing, the Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will consider and vote upon the issue of taking enforcement action, including but not limited to disconnecting water service for any property at which the owner has refused to permit Spaulding Township to install an upgraded water meter.

At said time and place all interested persons will be heard and the Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will receive comments from said interested persons at the hearing.  Written comments will be received through the time of the hearing and may be mailed to Spaulding Township at 5025 East Road, Saginaw, MI 48601.  If you have any questions or wish to comment on the subject matter described herein you may contact the Township Governmental Offices at the address described above or by telephone at (989) 777-0950.  If you are disabled and need accommodations, please call the above number with your request as soon as possible.  The Township will make every reasonable effort to provide an accommodation to the disabled.

DECEMBER BOARD OF REVIEW

Pursuant to the provisions of MCL 211.53b, the Spaulding Township Board of Review will meet on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Township Complex, 5025 East Rd., Saginaw, MI.  The purpose of this meeting is to correct clerical errors or mutual mistake of fact, filings for principal residence exemptions (PRE), and to hear poverty exemption applications.
