The Spaulding Township LOBBY  is CLOSED until further notice due to the Coronavirus concerns and the safety of our residents and staff.  Please read below:

  • Staff are in the office conducting business Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Please use the “Drop-off Box” located outside for any written correspondence, requests, or payments. This drop-off box is checked daily.

  • Burning Permits may be acquired over the telephone while the office lobby is closed due to the COVID-19 concern.
  • The monthly D.P.W. Board and Township Board meetings previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th will be held. Future meetings will be determined by the Federal (CDC),  State and County government directives.
  • Hall rentals for the months of March and April are currently suspended until further direction of the government.

Spaulding Township will hold its Truth in Budgeting Hearing and Settlement Meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. and its Annual Meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.  A “Budget Preparation Meeting” will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.  Meetings will be held at the Spaulding Township Complex, 5025 East Rd., Saginaw, MI.  Americans with Disabilities Notice:  The Township will provide necessary reasonable services to individuals with disabilities.  Spaulding Township is an equal opportunity provider.

Spaulding Township is a General Law Township with population of 2,141 residents and 27 square miles of area. Spaulding Township is not a full size township being cut off by the Shiawassee River on the west side. Spaulding Township is the home of the Shiawassee Flats National Wildlife Refuge a 7,300 acre wildlife refuge visited by many people each year; the Township is about 70% rural.

Spaulding Township boasts a volunteer fire department, police department, air conditioned hall, well kept park, and a township run cemetery for its residents. Approximately 95 % of our residents have city water.
