NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDING FOR SPAULDING TOWNSHIP HOME REPAIR PROJECT
The Spaulding Township Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Spaulding Township Complex, 5025 East Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601, for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
Spaulding Township proposes to use CDBG grant funds in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($354,000.00) for the Spaulding Township Home Repair Project.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fund programs provide essential funding for housing projects located in Spaulding Township, Saginaw County for homeowner rehabilitation and soft costs of non-construction expenses such as administration, legal and project management.
Eligible activities for rehabilitating housing include, but not limited to, interior and exterior improvements to meet code requirements, roof repair or full replacement, siding, windows, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and insulation. This excludes cosmetics only renovations and upgrades. Minimum assistance per unit is $10,000. Maximum assistance per unit is $40,000.
The project administration estimates that no residents will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities.

Citizen views and comments on the proposed application are welcome. Application to be submitted by September 11, 2025.
